Our “Care and Share” initiative is an international project designed to provide basic needs and resources to underserved children and youth, many living in rural areas. Nandanam provides resources of Education, Clothing, Food and Medical Needs of these communities.
Nandanam- (Care and Share) provides:
A. Education: With Autism ratio at 1:88, and availability of special education at 1:1200, Nandanam provides education sponsorship to the unattended section of underserved special needs children, so they can avail of the speech & behavioral therapy needed, along with academic augmentation support towards leading an independent life! U&I partners with Little Hearts Learning Center of Drishti Foundation, Mumbai –A dedicated Special Needs Institution.
B. Clothing: Trafficking victims come to the rehab home with what they wear and clothing is one of the most severe needs for children in rehabilitation homes across India. U&I partners with HELP an NGO working for the rescue and rehabilitation of trafficking victims and Nandanam the Care and Share initiative conducts clothing drives, sorts and packs the donated clothes to ship them to HELP, a rehab home in remote area of Andhra Pradesh, India.
C. Food: Meals sponsorship to the rehabilitated and underserved children and adults are provided so their minimum nutrition requirements are met. We identify organizations every year based on a set criterion, and the selected ones are provided with funds raised for meal sponsorships.
